Terms of Use
Last updated: 9 June 2026 · Contact: deenbox.app@gmail.com
Welcome to Deen Box. By downloading or using the Deen Box app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The service
Deen Box is an Islamic learning app (quizzes, lessons, and Qur'an reference) with an optional personal-finance ("Wallet") section. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Your account
An anonymous account is created automatically so your progress can be saved; you may optionally sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the App.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App — including attempting to disrupt it, access other users' data, or use it for unlawful purposes. When using social features, be respectful; choose a display name that is not offensive or impersonating.
4. Religious content — important notice
The educational content in Deen Box is prepared with care and respect for its sources, and Qur'an and hadith text is presented verbatim from the references credited below. However, the App is an educational aid and is not a substitute for guidance from qualified scholars. For rulings or personal religious decisions, please consult a knowledgeable scholar.
5. Financial features — not financial advice
The optional Wallet is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Zakat and related calculations are aids based on the figures you enter and on publicly available reference prices; verify your obligations with a qualified scholar. We do not connect to your bank and do not move money.
6. Content credits & intellectual property
The App and its original content are owned by Deen Box. Certain sacred and reference texts are used with attribution:
- Qur'an Arabic text — the Tanzil Project (CC BY 3.0).
- Qur'an English translation — Marmaduke Pickthall.
- Hadith references — sunnah.com.
- Seerah and Prophet narratives — drawn from Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum (The Sealed Nectar) and Ibn Kathir's Stories of the Prophets.
You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App's original content without permission.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deen Box is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
