Delete your Deen Box account & data

You can permanently delete your Deen Box account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — delete it in the app (recommended)
- Open the Deen Box app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are permanently deleted.
Option 2 — request it by email
If you can't access the app, email deenbox.app@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify and process your request.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we delete the data tied to it, including:
- Your account and sign-in identity (anonymous ID, and any linked Google email/name);
- Your learning progress — quiz history, mastery, streaks, XP, achievements and collected cards;
- Your social data — display name, username, friend connections and match history;
- Any optional Wallet data you entered (transactions, accounts, budgets, goals, debts, zakat).
This data is removed from our cloud (Google Firebase) and from your device.
What is kept, and for how long
We do not retain your personal data after deletion. Residual copies in routine encrypted backups are automatically purged within 90 days. We may retain a minimal record only where required by law.
